Curiosity,
collaboration
and clarity.

Grounded in context.
Forward-looking.

Office Ren is a two-person architecture practice based between Adelaide and Shanghai, working collaboratively without geographic limitations. Interested in people, place and possibility, the studio works across residential, commercial, speculative and research-led projects.

Based in Adelaide, Architect/Director Ava Kim works across South Australia and nationally, focusing on research-led urban development, housing and the future of cities. Architect/Director Haolin Bi works internationally from Shanghai, focusing on delivery, construction and translating design ideas into built outcomes. Both directors bring international and local experience across world-renowned studios and established Australian practices. Haolin has worked with Tadao Ando in Japan and Matthews Architects, while Ava has worked with Sou Fujimoto in Paris, Snøhetta and Grieve Gillett Architects.

The studio’s process is research based, iterative and collaborative. Ideas evolve through investigation, testing and dialogue, responding to each project’s people, context and economics.

Open dialogue.
Respect for place.

We believe the best outcomes come from open dialogue. Our process is transparent, inclusive, and responsive, inviting clients into the conversation from concept through to completion.

Confident in our expertise yet always listening, we approach each project with fresh eyes, respect for place, and a genuine interest in how people experience space.

Office Ren provides architectural design services for residential and commercial projects in Adelaide, with enquiries welcomed across Australia.
